BMW’s petrol twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight six has won the 2008 International Engine of the Year award. It’s the engine’s second successive victory and BMW’s record-breaking fourth consecutive win. BMW has scooped the top award in six of the last ten years.
This 2013 Lincoln MKZ looks to be production ready, save for a few absent badges on the tail. Why it is perched on a flatbed rather than moving under its own power is unknown. The production MKZ debuted at the New York auto show in April and will be available for sale later this year.
Patrick Pelata fell on his sword to save his boss and friend -- and maybe his company. Pelata, often called one of the industry's best product strategists, was part of a small team of executives Carlos Ghosn brought to Nissan Motor Co. in 1999 after Renault bought a controlling stake in the Japanese company.
